In this FREE 3-hour digital literacy workshop, participants will learn about phishing and social media through two digital literacy programs. One program, developed by Connected Canadians, will be delivered by trained volunteers. The second program, developed by Best Buy Digital Citizen, is an online program.

This program is a collaborative effort between Bruyère Health Research Institute, Connected Canadians, Best Buy Health’s Digital Citizen program and the City of Ottawa. As part of the experience, participants will be asked to complete a short survey to share their feedback and help shape future digital learning programs.

Participants can bring their own personal electronic device. Electronic device loan options are available during the workshop.
