In this workshop, participants will learn how to recognize phishing scams and receive helpful prevention tips to protect themselves. The workshop will cover different types of common phishing scams, the telltale signs to look out for in each type of attempt, and how to respond appropriately to help protect others online

This Connected Canadians workshop is held in partnership with the National Association of Federal Retirees for their community members. This is the first of two sessions. It begins with a presentation, followed by one-on-one, customized support. Participants are encouraged to bring their devices and learning goals to receive technology training and support from mentors. Connected Canadians mentors will provide personalized assistance to help participants apply what they’ve learned and build confidence using their devices.
